Still on Tau's Path, but... - and adress change

In a month I'll change adress from amis-kauui.blogspot.com to allhailgreatergood.blogspot.com.

I'm in last Highschool's class, and this'll be really deTaued year... There won't be many updates, but check every month, I should make out something. I'll post more on ATT than here, hovewer I'll provide links. For now, I posted up two big Project Logs 'bout XV88 Th'under and Barracuda, XV88 being finished, Barracuda awaiting panel lines' washes and sealing. There's also some fluff for incoming Shas'El Ki'lara.

XV88 WIP - Shas'vre ready for battle!

So it was over a month from last post, and it wasn't two weeks just because of my pure laziness. BUT, I have really good news! I finished my XV88 Broadside Battlesuit Shas'Vre! It's absolutely finished, with all decals, freehand markings (first ones, so don't cry how bad please ;) ) and even coated with Varnish! Here are the pics: first shows Veteran before highlighting (first real one in my life, Devilfish's ones I wouldn't count as true highlights...), the other one is more views as he is finished. Hooray!
Click to see datails (hard-worked by the way :D )

On the other hand, I have to build one more Devilfish chassis, because... I signed up for next tournament! I'll show you my army list in near future.

My brother's Wave Serpent is completely magnetized (by me, of course - I just LOVE magnetizing so much...) and partialy glued. Not completely because I want Aureliusz (that's his name, as the one of Rome caesar :) to paint inside. I didn't make doors magnetized to glue them after all! And I love Eldar's vehicles design! I'd collect them, if I would't have my Tau to take care of.

See you

Barracuda WIP part 2 - magnetized!

Now let's see how I made up. Here you can see all magnetized parts, including landing gear (partially green stuffed) and canopy (click to enlarge, as always ;). I'm pretty proud of gear and canopy.

Well, here is zoom with more views on last one. Canopy can slide and I'm able to put cockpit empty or with pilot.

There are pics of Barracuda with landing gear pulled out and hidden, in her (its?) most beautiful pose.

Barracuda WIP part 1

I will start with pictures just after opening package:

There are some overmoulded (?) pieces and... two cockpits! Empty and with pilot! Great! and so detailed cockpit meant I'd have to make canopy opening - whoa! it's really smart part...

Now let's see how it looks after magnetizing two cockpits:

Wondering how to make it sliding and not flying after turning Barracuda upside down...

Oh, how to make closing landing gear...?

Next: magnetized Barracuda!

Magnetizing Fire Warriors WIP

When I got my Tau Megaforce two years ago I started with painting FWs and HH. As far as now, I primed HH white, hating previous paint, 'cause I didn't know about primin (yeah, that's time to laugh at me). And the sasme (not primed) is with my FWs & Commander.
Few weeks ago I thought: hey, why not try Carbined FWs? then was post in Tau of War blog. So I started to break off hands. Several heads broke off too because of painting then gluing (never ever more!!!). I drilled like a week, and now this is effect:
All of them have changeable hands. Here are 13, but 14th is on table nearby.

More details here:
As yo can see normal right hand with weapon is no problem, just three magnets and FW is ready, hovewer guys with grenades and so, who are holding weapons in left hands need two hands each and, it may seem like two arm plates, don't know how is it in English ;) . BUT I found solution - I need three more magnets, yes, but I can easily have more magnets than those (oh! I remember) shoulder pads.

Well that's all for now. Next WIP will be about Barracuda assembling, and of course magnetizing (I think I'm in love with those little metal friends...) everything able to be magnetized! =D

PS. Probably I will be given aerograph tis Christmas, and 'cause I never used one, do you have any advices?
